χαίρετε! Dydh da! Welcome!

We're the Cornwall branch of The Classical Association, an educational charity dedicated to making the ancient world accessible to all.

A warm welcome from our president,
Dr Emily Hauser

We are absolutely delighted to announce the brilliant Dr Emily Hauser has been appointed as the new President of our Cornwall branch!

Award-winning historian, acclaimed lecturer, and acclaimed author of the Golden Apple Trilogy and more recently Mythica. Emily is renowned for her powerful and imaginative retellings of ancient myths—particularly through the lens of women's voices in Greek mythology. Her work brings the ancient world vividly to life for modern audiences and continues to reshape how we think about stories that have shaped Western literature.

Emily’s expertise and unwavering passion for the Classical world make her an inspirational figure, and we are honoured to have her at the helm of our branch. As President, she will lead our burgeoning branch in the continued championing of the ancient world across the county and beyond.

We couldn’t be more excited about the future under her leadership.
